The WRC is Temple University’s health promotion office, focused on helping the campus community understand wellness and ways to flourish. We are a team of experienced and dedicated professionals and student leaders who offer a variety of programs and services related to alcohol and other drugs prevention, interpersonal violence prevention, mental health promotion, and sexual health education.

Here are the questions parents and family members frequently ask us:

How does your office work with other departments like Student Health Services and Tuttleman Counseling Services?
Temple University is passionate about taking a comprehensive and holistic approach to supporting students and helping them thrive. Our colleagues at Tuttleman Counseling are clinically-trained counselors who offer therapeutic services for students through a variety of modalities. Student Health Services cares for students’ physical well-being by offering medical care. We seek to educate the campus community about issues that could impact physical and mental health. Do you offer opportunities for my student to be a leader on campus?
Yes we do! Our HEART Peer Educator program offers your student a chance to connect with fellow Owls who are passionate about contributing positively to the world around them. HEART Peers enroll in a three-credit course where they receive training and experience to pass the national Certified Peer Educator exam. Learn more HERE

How have your services changed since COVID-19?
We have been sharing information, resources, and elevating student voices through our social media platforms and Zoom offerings. Our website is updated regularly with upcoming events and recorded programs to support well-being and connection. You’re invited to join our digital community - we’re @BeWellTU on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
