Now we have an issue with her dorm room the AC has been out for 5 days, and the thermostat for her dorm is hitting 89, they said they have no estimate on when they will be fixed. It's crazy to me the amount paid to live in the dorms, and now they are having issues already.
Housing facilities staff and Office of Facilities Management staff were aware of this issue and working diligently to resolve it since it occurred but concluded Wednesday after several attempts that the chiller was not repairable and must be replaced. OFM was able to locate the necessary chiller and get it installed as of midnight last night. Housing and OFM also began monitoring the temperature inside White Hall this morning to ensure the chiller was working properly.
If students still have concerns about the temperature in their room, they should submit a work order, talk with their RA, or stop by the White Hall Front Desk so our staff can assess the situation promptly.
