As a mom of a 4th year student in the Klein School of Communications I can confidently say your son will be entering into an extremely supportive community with a lot of opportunities to embrace.

To answer your question; a change of program could be a transfer from one school or college to another within Temple University or changing from one academic program ("major") to another. Transfer between academic units is not automatic. To be eligible to complete a change of program, your student may be required to be in good academic standing. We suggest your student starts the discussion about changing programs with his academic advisor. You may also have your student go through the orientation in Canvas:

Login to TUportal.
Click on the Student Tools tab.
In the Registration channel, click on Change of Major.
You will be directed to the Change of Major Canvas site.
