Student Staff (Resident Assistant & Peer Mentor) Applications
Applications are open in MyHousing now! Applications close on Monday, October 28. Resident Assistants (RAs) help students grow by building a strong community within the residence halls. Peer Mentors (PMs) support student in Living Learning Communities (LLCs), serving as academic and community resources. Students must attend an information session in order to apply. Navigating Roommate Conflicts
Make sure your student completed a roommate success plan in MyHousing which helps address frequent sources of conflict. Have them connect with their Resident Assistant to explore possible solutions.
Encourage them to speak with their Resident Coordinator or Resident Director for further support.
Help your student understand that living together requires flexibility. Encourage them to listen to their roommate's perspective and be willing to find a middle ground.
Have a Maintenance Concern? Students can submit a work request to the UHRL maintenance team using this link. Students will need to enter their accessnet username and password. Students will receive a confirmation email and email updates as the work order is addressed.
Fall Break Registration is opening in MyHousing on Monday, September 30 and will close on Friday, November 15. If your student needs to stay on campus over break or needs access to their housing anytime during the fall break period (Saturday, November 23 at noon through Sunday, December 1 at 10:00am), they should register to keep their access active. There is no fee for fall break registration.
