The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (SCCS) is committed to working with students, faculty, and staff in an effort to create a campus community of integrity and respect. Services include administration of the Student Conduct Code and the conduct process, educational sanctioning and programming, and case consultation(s) with students, families, faculty, and staff.

Here are the questions parents and family members frequently ask us:

If my student is going through a student conduct process, how can I receive information about the case? SCCS will be able to share specific case information with you if your student has waived their FERPA rights. If the FERPA rights have not been waived, the office staff will be able to speak with you about the disciplinary process but will not be able to share specific case information with you. At your student's request, family members are welcome to participate in the student conduct process and attend all associated hearings and meetings as a personal advisor/person of support.

Why is there a hold on my student's account?
The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards may place a hold on a student's academic and other institutional records should the student refuse to respond to outreach, comply with procedures, had an outstanding case or sanctions in accordance with the Student Conduct Code.

Where can find more information about the student conduct process?
If you would like to learn more about the student conduct process at Temple University you can access the Student Conduct Code for more information.
