The WRC is Temple University’s health promotion office, we strive to support members of the campus community in exploring wellness and creating a life that aligns with their values. We are a team of experienced and dedicated professionals and Certified Peer Educators who work to promote wellness and create connectedness through a variety of programming and services. Our offerings for students are related to the topics of alcohol and other drugs prevention, interpersonal violence prevention, mental health promotion, and sexual health education.

Here are the questions parents and family members frequently ask us:

How does your office work with other departments like Student Health Services and Tuttleman Counseling Services?
Alongside Tuttleman Counseling Services and Student Health Services, our offices make up The Health and Well-being Division. The Health and Well-being Division at Temple University takes a holistic approach to promoting a campus culture of mental, physical and social wellness for all students, faculty and staff. Our colleagues at Tuttleman Counseling are clinically trained counselors who offer therapeutic services for students through a variety of modalities. Student Health Services cares for students’ physical well-being by offering medical care. We seek to educate the campus community about issues that could impact physical and mental health. Do you offer opportunities for my student to be a leader on campus?
Yes, we do! Our Wellness Peer Educator program offers your student a chance to connect with fellow Owls who are passionate about contributing positively to the world around them. These student leaders participate in a comprehensive training program and pass the national Certified Peer Educator exam. Learn more HERE.
