The Student Success Center (SSC) is a comprehensive academic support center serving Temple students. We offer an array of free programs and services including tutoring, coaching, group study sessions, workshops, and more. Our services are open to all Temple students—grad and undergrad—from all academic disciplines.

What services does the Student Success Center offer?
We have six main service areas: Academic Coaching, which supports students in developing effective learning habits and strategies; Language Tutoring, which provides English and foreign language learning support; the Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Program, which offers interactive, group study sessions; the STEM Learning Lab, which provides one-on-one tutoring for math and science courses; and the Writing Center, which helps students develop their writing skills.
How can my student access the Student Success Center’s services?

Who are the tutors, coaches, and peer facilitators that work in your center?
Our staff includes more than 150 graduate and undergraduate student-workers, and they represent a wide range of academic programs and disciplines. The students who work at the SSC come to us through a competitive hiring process and are chosen because of their high levels of academic achievement as well as their strong orientation toward helping others. All of our staff members participate in extensive and ongoing professional development activities.
