The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership serves as a multicultural hub for Temple University students. Our programming and dialogues are designed to create critical thought in advancing inclusive social change.
Here are the questions parents and family members frequently ask us:
Do students have to be a part of a historically marginalized identity to participate in IDEAL programming?
No! Our programming is designed to empower historically marginalized identities and develop allyship.
Does your office provide LGBTQIA+ support and resources?
Yes! Aside from providing resources and services for ethnic and cultural identities, we have a focus on sexuality, gender identity, and gender expression. Our office has a gender and sexuality sector that develops programming and advocacy education.
Where is your office located and do you have drop-in hours?
We are located at 2026 N Broad street, on the corner of Broad and Diamond. Our office acts as a center and is open to any member of the Temple community during business hours. No appointment is necessary and we are equipped with technology, study space, computers, etc.
