Temple University's Office of Student Financial Services (SFS) readily assists all Temple students and families with the financial aid process, as well as, servicing the University balance due statements.
Here are the questions parents and family members frequently ask us:
I was admitted for the next semester. When can I expect my financial aid offer?
Welcome to Temple! Incoming, new students that file the FAFSA will be sent an email notification to review their financial aid offer in the Costs & Aid tab of TUportal. Detailed information on Understanding Your Financial Aid Offer is available here, https://sfs.temple.edu/eligibility/your-financial-aid-offer/understanding-your-aid-offer
What is the net price of attending Temple University?
The net price can vary depending on your major, state of residency, housing selection, etc. We recommend the Temple University Tuition Calculator to estimate tuition, fees, housing, and meal plan options.
The calculator will allow a student to make selections based on their school/college (major), housing selection, and meal plan option. The calculator will also allow you to input your savings, financial aid, and any other resources you plan to assist with your balance due. Estimated tuition and fees are updated to actual rates annually each year in mid-July. Some or all instruction for all or part of the academic year may be delivered remotely. Tuition, the University Services Fee, and certain other fees are set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the academic year.
I was offered financial aid, but it is not enough to cover the balance due. What do I do next?
the TUPortal- Cost & Aid tab students can apply for scholarship opportunities using Scholarship Universe. Scholarship Universe is a searchable database that maximizes scholarship opportunities for Temple students. Students are prompted to answer questions and base on their responses they will be matched to scholarships. Students then can begin applying to the matched scholarship opportunities.
