University Housing and Residential Life (UHRL) strives to cultivate responsible community members by developing inclusive living and learning environments. University Housing and Residential Life is comprised of five pillars of primary functions: Finance, Housing Operations, Information Technology, Maintenance Operations, and Residential Life.

Here are the questions parents and family members frequently ask us:

When will my student receive their specific move-in date and time?
Move-in dates and other helpful move-in information can be found here. Your student can access their specific move-in date (determined by housing assignment, floor, and building) via MyHousing. Here, they will be able to self-select their own specific move-in time on their assigned day.

What size bed will be in my student’s room?
1300 Residence Hall (1st – 3rd Floor Suites) comes with a standard twin mattress.

All other halls come with a twin extra-long mattress.

Rooms also include a dresser, desk, and chair. All rooms have shades, curtains, or blinds. Most rooms are not carpeted.

What initial opportunities are provided for students to get connected?

Residence Life student staff (Resident Assistants and Peer Mentors) will be ready to welcome your student and introduce them to their floor community. There will be community meetings, a hall block party, and Convocation all before classes begin. Don't forget about Weeks of Welcome programs hosted the university, including the annual TempleFest!
