The Tyler School of Art and Architecture Academic Advising staff will help you chart your course through your degree program and major. We strive to be a resource for Tyler students, offering appointments to help with academic planning, policy and procedure, and navigating other available resources across the university. You will want to meet with an advisor to discuss registration, studying abroad, and to be sure you're on track to graduate. We look forward to working with you during your time at Tyler!

How can my student make an appointment with an academic advisor?
Making an appointment with a Tyler Advisor is easy and can be done right in the TUportal. Students can go to their Student Tools tab, and there is a channel for the academic advising appointment system. Students can then select a day and time that works for them.
My student isn’t sure their advisor is. How can they find out?
All of our advisors have lead areas, and students can easily find this information on our website, but we are also cross-trained and work collaboratively with one another. We strive to ensure that each of us can help any student who needs assistance.
