Student housing experiences: 1940, Morgan North, Temple Towers

What I wish I knew as a new Temple family member:
My piece of advice: If your student decides to come in as Undeclared or switches majors along the way, don't worry. There is time for them to explore and figure things out.
My favorite thing to do when visiting my student:  Exploring different neighborhoods in Philadelphia and the Farmer's Market at Rittenhouse Square on Saturdays.
Reach out to me if you have questions about: Experiences in different residence halls; Temple University Diamond Marching Band

Kelliann Dougherty | Kennett Square, PA | kellirich@comcast.net
Student School/College and major: College of Education and Human Development, Education, English, Spanish
Student housing experiences: Morgan Hall
Student involvement: TU Eco rep, Community Garden volunteer
My piece of advice: If possible, come visit student for a short visit here and there. You can meet at Playa Bowls, Insomnia Cookies or anyplace on campus for a quick check in. It will do both parties wonders.
A moment of pride: When my student didn't want to come home for the night. My student didn't want to miss anything at school.

Kathy Gallagher| Philadelphia, PA | kathy.gallagher73@outlook.com
Student School/College and major: Fox School of Business, Business Management, Marketing minor
Student housing experiences: 1300 Residence Hall and commuting
Student involvement:
My piece of advice: Have the conversation regarding finances with your student ahead of time. Budgeting, specifically for a new student, while trying to acclimate to every things else can be somewhat daunting.
My favorite thing to do when visiting my student: Richie's Cafe! Also there are so many places to sit and relax all over campus!
A moment of pride: My moment of pride is that my student stepped of her comfort zone and made the step forward to her future by attending Temple University.
Why my student chose Temple: Temple University has a diverse community, it is an opportunity to meet people from all over the world and experience different cultures. Temple also is a great location with everything close to campus if not on campus.
